Lupine seed to be of a wild variety compatible with Karner Blue butterflies. 2) Permits to be secured by individual property owners prior to construction.

Wood County: Lco-Shoreland Ordinance Rev.: Wood County proposes to amend or create a shoreland zoning ordinance that complies with the requirements of NR 115, Wisconsin Administrative Code (as revised effective February 1, 2010) and retain existing regulations that exceed the water resource protections of NR 115 or are specific or unique to local needs.

Project deliverables include: 1. Copies of any fact sheets or handouts created for public hearings. 2. A summary of the comments received at public hearings. 3. A certified copy of the County Board-approved updated shoreland ordinance or ordinance language (if integrated into other codes). 4. Any GIS maps of the shoreland zone or shoreland condition surveys related to the project.

Specific conditions for this Project: The WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports or surveys generated as a result of this project.

Bughs Lake Management District: Hlk - Bughs Lake Public Landing Restoration Project: Partnering with property owners, the Bughs Lake management district is sponsoring a grant to implement water quality and habitat best practices from Wisconsin\2019s Healthy Lakes Implementation Plan. Best practices, including fish sticks, 350 sq. ft. native plantings, diversions, rock infiltration, and/or rain gardens, will be designed and installed according to the Healthy Lakes fact sheets, technical guidance and grant application.

All funded best practices require contracts that must remain in place for 10 years and include the minimum operation and maintenance requirements described in grant condition #16 at the end of this agreement. If the landowner is the grant sponsor this Lake Protection Grant Agreement serves as the contract. If the best practices will be implemented on land other than the sponsor\2019s, a Conservation Contract between the sponsor and landowner describing the 10-year contract period, minimum operation and maintenance details, and data to be collected is required.

The Department may perform site inspections and/or monitoring to ensure project success.

Deliverables include: Signed 10-year landowner Conservation Contract(s) with operation and maintenance requirements; data collected; pre and post project installation photographs; and summary of education activities and publicity/promotion of the Healthy Lakes initiative, if applicable.

Special conditions: Project management and technical assistance costs cannot exceed 10% of the state share of the grant award; this does not include implementation labor. Water regulation and/or county zoning permits must be issued before construction, and all regulatory requirements apply. Gilbert Lake Advancment Association Inc: Hlk - Gilbert Lake Healthy Lakes 2017: Partnering with property owners, the Gilbert Lake Advancement Association, Inc. is sponsoring a grant to implement water quality and habitat best practices from Wisconsin\2019s Healthy Lakes Implementation Plan. Best practices, including fish sticks, 350 sq. ft. native plantings, diversions, rock infiltration, and/or rain gardens, will be designed and installed according to the Healthy Lakes fact sheets, technical guidance and grant application.

All funded best practices require contracts that must remain in place for 10 years and include the minimum operation and maintenance requirements described in grant condition #16 at the end of this agreement. If the landowner is the grant sponsor this Lake Protection Grant Agreement serves as the contract. If the best practices will be implemented on land other than the sponsor\2019s, a Conservation Contract between the sponsor and landowner describing the 10-year contract period, minimum operation and maintenance details, and data to be collected is required.

The Department may perform site inspections and/or monitoring to ensure project success.

Deliverables include: Signed 10-year landowner Conservation Contract(s) with operation and maintenance requirements; data collected; pre and post project installation photographs; and summary of education activities and publicity/promotion of the Healthy Lakes initiative, if applicable.

Special conditions: Project management and technical assistance costs cannot exceed 10% of the state share of the grant award; this does not include implementation labor. John'S Lake Management District: Acq-John'S Lake Land Acquisition - Marek Property: The John's Lake Lake Management District will acquire approximately 9.2 acres of land, including 550 feet of shoreline, situated on the western shore of John's Lake in Waushara County, for lake protection purposes. The primary goals of the land management plan are 1) to protect the lake's health and water quality by protecting a water recharge/wetland area for the lake contained on the property; 2) to ptotect the aquatic plant beds located off shore which support fisheries habitat and spawning; 3) to preserve the property in it's natural state to protect it's wildlife amd waterfowl habitat.

Major project elements to include: 1) individual lake resident/user surveys and plan development, 2) web-based reporting system, 3) build-out assessment and predictive modeling, 4) development of guide for local boards and commissions, 5) final project report.

Adams County: Res-Castle Rock Restoration: Adams County proposes to provide up to 75% of the cost of shoreland restoration practices to lake front property owners on Castle Rock Lake. Grant funds will be distributed to fund removal of sea walls, minor bank re-shaping, placement of rip-rap, establishment of vegetative buffers and implementation of individual stormwater management plans.

Special Conditions: 1) Space between rip-rap to be filled with soil and vegetated to facilitate successful access of turtle hatchlings to water. Lupine seed to be of a wild variety compatible with Karner Blue butterflies. 2) Permits to be secured by individual property owners prior to construction.

Waushara County: Acq-Kusel Lake Land Acquisition - Petersen Property: Waushara county will acquire approximately 30.78 acres of land with 1,150 feet of shoreline to preserve and protect the shoreline and water quality of Kusel Lake. the primary goals of the property's management plan will be 1) TO MAINTAIN THE PROPERTY AS OPEN S[ACE/PARKLAND, 2) TO PRESERVE AHND RPOTECT THE PROPERTY'S SHORELINE IN ITS NATURAL STATE, 3) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PROPERTY'S WETLANDS, AND 4) TO ALLOW PUBLIC ACCESS FOR PASSIVE RECREATION INCLUDING HIKING AND CROSS COUNTRY SKIING.

Adams County: Lco-Lakes Camelot/Sherwood Shoreland Zoning Audit: Adams County proposes to conduct a shoreline zoning audit of Lakes Camelot and Sherwood for the purposes of identification of suspected violations of the Adams County shoreline protection ordinance, establsihment of a current record of all current shoreland uses, and establishing a baseline for the assessment of the effectiveness of permitting and enforcement processes. Project activities will include the location and diagramming of structures within 75 feet of the ordinary highway mark, follow-up questionnaires, file review and the development of a public education on the importance of the shoreline protection ordinance.

Wood County: Lco-Shoreland Ordinance Rev.: Wood County proposes to amend or create a shoreland zoning ordinance that complies with the requirements of NR 115, Wisconsin Administrative Code (as revised effective February 1, 2010) and retain existing regulations that exceed the water resource protections of NR 115 or are specific or unique to local needs.

Project deliverables include: 1. Copies of any fact sheets or handouts created for public hearings. 2. A summary of the comments received at public hearings. 3. Parker Lake Assoc., Inc.: Hlk-Parker Lake Fish Sticks: Parker Lake Association Inc. will implement best practices described in Wisconsin\2019s 2014-2017 Healthy Lakes Implementation Plan. Practices include: Installation of 8 fish stick clusters on the shoreline of Parker Lake.
The best practices require a contract to remain in effect for 10 years and must include minimum operation and maintenance requirements and data collection as described in grant condition #17. If best practice(s) are implemented on land owned by the grant Sponsor, this Lake Protection Grant Agreement serves as the contract. If best practice(s) are implemented on land other than the sponsor\2019s, a contract between the sponsor and landowner that abides by grant condition #16 is required.
The Department may require re-payment of project installation costs if the best practice is disturbed or removed. The Sponsor and/or the Department may perform site inspections and/or monitoring to ensure project success.
Deliverables: Best practice location and design information, if not included in the application; signed 10-year landowner contract; pre and post project installation photographs; summary of education activities and publicity/promotion of Healthy Lakes initiative, if applicable.
Special conditions: The state share of each best practice cannot exceed $1,000. The state share of grant administration and technical assistance costs may not exceed 10% of the grant award; technical assistance does not include implementation labor. Funding cannot be used for mitigation or regulatory compliance activities. Water regulation and/or county zoning permits must be issued before construction. The Healthy Lakes logo should be used for promotion and publicity, and DNR recognized as a funding source.

Major project elements to include: a) outreach and education, b) review of plans, designs, and maintenance agreements, c) development of plans, designs, and agreements, d) inventory of public access points on all project waterways. Project will include notification of riparian property whose property is in conformance with the buffer standard and that the buffer must stay in compliance with the buffer standard. Signed maintenance agreements must be kept on record by Adams County.

The project diverts the runoff and it's associated sediments and pollutants away from Pleasant Lake and into a sand discharge area. The project activities include North and South diversions removed and replaced, a speed bump and west edge ramp removed and replaced as called for in the approved plans.

Sauk Prairie River Projects Assoc. Ltd: Lower Wisconsin River-Survey Of Floodplain Fisheries: This project, which is part 1 of a two-part project, focuses on collection of new scientific data on nongame fishes and other aquatic life inhabiting backwater sloughs of the Lower Wisconsin river. The findings of this project will fill important gaps in the database for off-channel fisheries and associated aquatic life along the river.

Every deliverable, no matter how minor, must be completed in order to receive full reimbursement for the state share of costs. Ranking questions used to obtain this award, and specific deliverables mentioned in your grant description, constitute final report deliverables. If any deliverable is not adequately provided in the final report, only partial reimbursement, at the department's discretion, will be made. Aldo Leopold Foundation, Inc: Wisconsin River-Land Protection Planning Project: Aldo Leopold Foundation, Inc, will conduct a project to identify critical properties from a strategic and conservation perspective. The final report/product will be a prioritized land protection plan for the land health conservation area along the Wisconsin River (Wisconsin Dells to Portage). Specific components and activities covered by this grant include: 1) Narrative Overview, 2) Real Estate Assessment and Value Estimates 3) Draft Conservation Easements (with legal counsel review) 4) GIS Mapping and other Analysis, Planning, Resarch and Assessment Associated with the objectives of this project.

Friends Of The Lower Wi Riverway (Flow): State Of The Lower Wi River Symposium: Friends of the Lower Wisconsin River will facilitate the gathering of stakeholders, cultural and natural resource experts and agency staff to share scientific and technical information and perspectives on the Lower Wisconsin River via symposiums and field trips. The focus will be to build capacity in the Lower Wisconsin River region through on "the state of the river", as a first step that describes the area's natural and cultural resources, their interrelationships and management issues, for a fairly broad audience. It will encourage pathways of communication through which discussions of these topics might continue, and increase much-needed awareness in the more general public, through media coverage.

Project Deliverables: Symposiums and field trips (several in summer and fall) will culminate in a compilation of presentations, summaries/abstracts. Attendee surveys will rate success of limitations of symposiums and field trips. Symposium will be publicized in local newspapers, and on FLOW\2019s website.
